In the Friday the 13th franchise it has multiple adaptations, parodies, and spin-offs from the movies that it's easy to indicate what is and what isn't canon.

While the new canon universe and the separate universe is the 2009 Friday the 13th film which is a revision of the original first 3 films making this it's own timeline as no sequel was sadly ever made.

Are either timeline fillers to fill in holes or are interoperated sequels to the films so in other words? they are primarily seen as Non-Canon or Pseudo-Canon in terms of their timeline placements.

As of right now Scott Phillips himself states in his mind and in his Novel that it takes place between Part VII and Part VIII.

Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday #1/Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday #2/Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday #3 are canon because these were officially licensed comics to help adapt the movie into a comic series.
